MISSION:

One Love Dance Company (OLDC) is LDF's nonprofit organization. The mission of our nonprofit is to provide students with professional training and performance experience as well as to provide the community with a diverse and innovative dance based performance company.

We choose a variety of community projects for our dancers to participate in to encourage the development of compassion and of course LOVE.

WHAT WE’VE ACCOMPLISHED:

With the help of LDF dancers and their families, here are some of the OLDC community service projects we are so pleased to have participated in:

• Collected & donated 72 costumes that were gifted to Lexington-based Caring Costumes
• Raised funds from multiple studio fundraisers that were gifted to A Chance to Dance, a local non-profit that provides free, inclusive dance classes for dancers of all ages with special needs
• Made homemade Christmas cards for multiple Lexington nursing homes that were distributed at various ballet performances
• Donated 150 pairs of shoes to Shoes with Heart
• Created tie blankets made by our dancers and donated them to Golisano Children's at UK
• Collected hundreds of colorful Band-Aids for Golisano Children's at UK's Band-Aid Books program
• Collected, made and donated over 150 crayons bags to Golisano Children's at UK
• Held a Nutcracker mini-camp for our tiniest dancers
• Performed Nutcracker school shows for over 2,868 students from 147 schools representing 26 KY counties

Funds collected and distributed from OLDC:

• $8,400 raised by team parents from working at Lafayette Band Association's Bingo on Friday nights
• $2,470 raised from the "Picnic & Pirouettes" raffle and silent auction
• $3,098 in scholarships for the 2025-2026 season (8 fully-funded dancers)
• $2,349 in scholarships so far for the 2026-2027 season (6 fully-funded dancers)

This is such a great way for our dancers to become involved in our mission, we encourage everyone to be a part of OLDC
